Just interested if any folks have experience with a Mitsubishi L300 4WD wagon as a general family wagon AND camping base.
Now I do want to make this an argument topic etc, please just experiences (good & bad) without anxst so a family member can have some assistance with their decision to chase up up.
Cheers - Mobi

Mobi if you click on "Post Options" then "Edit" you can correct any typos. Can't help with the wagon, sorry.

Hi there Mobi
I would say one thing about the L300 4x4 1989 - 1997 It will go anywhere you want it to go... I have owned mine for 7 years... Its light and good on fuel... I tow a trailer with 2 jetskis 1 trail bike and a full back with 200 ltr fuel 100 ltr water 2 adults 1 kid... 2000kgs of weight
The L300 has a LSD diff and a true 4x4... you cvan fit 31x10.5 tyres let them down to 12 psi and run across any sand mud or bush rocks you name it...
90% of all parts off the standard 2 wheel van fits only a few things are different...
I would buy one and do the following
Big 31x10.5 tyres
Extractores with a little bigger on the pipe
Dual batteries
Then you can upset other 4x4 owners when you drive past them on the beach where they get bogged... I have out done all my mates who own Landcruser 200 ser 100's Nissan patrols so on...
The only thing lacking is some power when hitting big sand dunes if you are towing...
I would give the L300 4x4 a 9.5 / 10 cheap to run
Yes I have a small problem with looking for a power steering rack second hand but I do live in WA
Buy one you can not go wrong
