So good to hear that you are happy with your van Staion VR4.
We too had a couple of the window latches break but have been fixed now.
So happy with the van to date.

Smile  Hi there!  A few things that I discussed with Joe are:

1.   Support for leg in retracted position on tri-fold table.
2.   Vanity unit to be made bigger and smaller flick mixer for vanity basin unit.
3.   Position of stereo is currently above the fridge facing the cafe dinet.  It really needs to be   positioned facing the bed (i.e. you are abe to operate it whilst in bed relaxing with the remote control!).
4.   Door stoppers on entry door to stop it slamming on the side of the van if a gust of wind catches it and also the screen door of the shower.  Rubber door stoppers on the sliding door at the front and rear in the open and close position.
5.   Support clips for holding tools in the boot area (i.e. winding handle for jack legs, awning pull rod, etc) as per Jayco's Swan Boot Systems.
6.   Extra speakers in the living area (we have 4 in ours, not the standard 2).  You may want to look at asking to have the TV sound output connected to the stereo as ours currently only runs when playing DVD and obviously the radio (TV sound only comes out of the TV speaker which is pittiful!!)
7.   Infill for sink to create extra food preparation area.
8.   3 x SMD LED strip lights for the side of van under awning area.  These have been great!!!!  Maybe ask to have one put on the offside of van as no light this side has made connection of hoses or emptying casette toilet at night difficult.

Also, we would recommend you getting the biggest size fridge that is available as we have a 185L in our van for 2 people and have used every bit of it!  Please pm me if you wish to discuss anything else.  We will be back in Brisbane at the beginning of September.  Cheers all.

Actually Starion VR4, meant to ask you re the 3 x LED strip lights.  We have heard that the LED's on the exterior of the van are not bright enough, do you think the strips are adequate?  Also do you have LED downlights inside?  Cheers, Carol

Hi Carol, believe me these LED Lights ( In fact they are SMD LED'S) are TOO BRIGHT. Please be assured I have had Feston Bulbs on the outside before & there is no comparison between these SMD LED's. If your coming up to Brisbane ( Am at Springwood, next to IKEA) please come & have a look at them... They are

BRILLIANT.... excuse the pun Wink

As for LED inside, not yet as I only picked up the van on Monday , fitted the Webestco Heater & packed the van Tuesday before we left at 6am Wednesday. I will be fitting them in due course or will wait till the Caravan & Camping Show & get them then.

Do you use a Weight Distribution Hitch ?

The Patrol looks to be up in the air at the front wheels.

No no Weight Hitch, Troll had a 4" lift so that is why it looks high in front, also changed the Tow Ball to on top of the Tongue & made Van sit level.

Van looks to me to be down in the front, weight distribution set up correctly will lift it and transfer some of the weight that is being taken off the front wheels back. Having a 4" lift will not alter the fact that weight is being reduced from the front wheels. Weight being reduced from the front wheels is going to reduce your steering and braking control.
