HI Jayconians,

Just thought I'd mention that Brisbane Camperland have some really great quality LED's that fit into your existing Jayco light fittings (both exterior and interior).

We changed over the two annexes lights last week. Very happy with the brightness. Going ahead and changing all the interior lights over now as well.

They are pretty pricey, at around $17 each, but they are a really bright white light, draw minimal current and cool ( no heat generated).

They also give a 1 yr warranty and Jayco will be using these as options in the new vans from the factory, in future, (so I'm told).

With so many LED bulbs out there, at least you know these fit and they are good quality with the factory backing.

Hope this helps others!

Cheers,
SallySmile

Sally are these replacement bulbs for the overhead lights or are they the complete units? I bought one about 12 months ago that was the same as the down lights fitted in our Sterling other than it was an LED. Marked price was $46.00 but they sold it to me for $26.00. Supercheap have them as well but for around $46, a bit expensive I think.

At $17 they are worth changing as the replacement bulbs (halogen ones) are around $19, well that's what I've been charged for them. Plus when you try fitting them into those down light fitting you invariably break the fittings.

Hi Supertramp,

They are just the replacement bulbs, that go into the existing oval lights, downlights and the one over the rangehood (a slightly larger downlight).

They work out at $17 each for 15 bulbs. Bne Camperland gave me a discount, as we bought a van form them a few year's back. They have a 10% discount club, called VIP. Worth joining. Even at around $20 each, that's not too bad for the top quality ones. Some on Ebay are $25 each.

The trick with the downlights is to remove the two side screws and push/ease the bulb out from behind it, not pull it out, from the bottom.

All the best,
Sally
