We stayed at the Headland Tourist Park for two weeks. Originally one week was our intention, the quite and uncrowded natural setting was reason enough for us to go for another week.
From the main road through town turn right (north bound) or left (south bound) at the Post Office. Follow the white line to the headland, where the road ends is the Headland Tourist Park. Built right on the headland
with spectacular views to the beaches both north and south. An interesting park with parking and camping areas terraced out of the headland on the western side. A track at the northern boundary
leads down to the beach and is a good walk each day for the heart.
This is a no frills park offering good rates for the touring nomads. And man's best friend is welcome.
This park is a case of "Don't judge book by its cover". I did when I looked from the top, the navigator walked down to the caravan area and came
back with a different opinion.
We took one night to see if we liked the idea of the terraces, next day paid for another 5 nights (seventh night free) and stayed for the week. We were enjoying the quiet bush
setting so much we stayed another week after that.
